Most of us might be longing for the spring time sun and the upcoming joys of summer – but we already have a damn good reason to look forward to a infernally hot winter! EISREGEN and DEBAUCHERY – two of Germany`s most prolific extreme metal acts – will embark tour together in November 2013!

If there is one German band that has to be pointed out for their skillful and original combination of dark sounds, controversial air and unpredictability, it`s gotta be EISREGEN! The Thuringian act first made heads turn with their debut “Zerfall” (“Decay”) in 1998 – and they especially made some heads turn at the offices of German censorship where their name possesses quite some notoriety. Recently EISREGEN released the compilation “Krebskollektion”.
Founded in 2003, Southern Germans DEBAUCHERY decided to wade knee-deep in ultra-groovy death metal with that certain pinch of rock`n`roll! That puts them in the same category as SIX FEET UNDER of course who they have already been on tour with. Bloodshed, nude girls and chainsaws – let`s all look forward to the upcoming album “Kings of carnage”!

Danish band MERCENARY turned out to be a highly popular metal powerhouse in the past decade! So far, they have released six ultra-heavy yet sophisticated albums, and soon they are ready to unleash “Through our darkest days”: an opus magnum bursting with modern melodic death metal and power metal structures. MERCENARY will embark on a European headliner tour at the end of this year`s summer.

Travelling with them will be Finns OMNIUM GATHERUM who recently released a beautifully dark slab of melodic death metal with “Beyond” (2013).

As last band, the thrashers ESSENCE have been confirmed for METALFEST LORELEY 2013! The Danish newcomers were founded in 2005 to worship at the altar of old school thrash metal. The lucky winners of the Rock The Nation award 2012 have recently released their second album “Last Night Of Solace”, which was produced by living legend Peter Tägtgren! “We want to be on stage where we belong and thrash and freak out every night”, says the band – which is exactly what`s gonna happen at METALFEST!

In the last couple of years, the Heidenfest turned out to be a unique and not-to-be-missed tour package when it comes to the biggest names in the field of heathen / Viking metal and bands offering you the best in between war anthems and drinking horn frenzy! Which is why the 2013 line up again looks like the wet dream of every heathen metal warrior:

Headlining will be mighty genre legends ENSIFERUM from Finland! These much-loved Viking and folk metallers definitely know how to get a good party going and have recently released their opus magnum “Unsung heroes” in 2012. Travelling with them will be fellow countrymen TURISAS who are currently busying themselves with recording a brand new album and whipping out that infamous red / black war paint!

Germans EQUILIBRIUM must be considered as true stars of the German pagan metal genre: they`ve set fire to every club so far with their explosive mixture of catchiness and heaviness! These guys and girls are also working on a new album right now. SUIDAKRA combine melody with death metal and folk parts – “Eternal defiance” will be released end of May 2013.
